WHAT HAPPENED TO US?

We put on suits

Not because it suits us

Stiffed necked we become robots

Full of ourselves like executive idiots

Our women wear clothes

But all we see is skin

Obsession to look like vixens

We lost our natural African queens

Our children live in the “Jet Age”

But their stupidity has no Adage

Rudeness and Disrespect means Swagger

But when it comes to Education, They Stammer

Our society was without fence

Securities in homes now look like a military defence

Neighbours could even speak our dialect

Today every alien is a suspect

Our marriage and language had no word like divorce

Marriages are no more between two families now it’s for the purse

Today’s marriage is for convenience

It was between two virgins; now harlotry is called “experience”

Our respect culture has been replaced by etiquette

Elderly men give up seats for women “dressed naked”

Our Women are no longer reserved but aggressive

Single moms and Independent women are not “marriage adhesive”

What happened to the world?

What happened to Africa?

What happened to Nigeria?

What happened to Us?
