SKG Pharma Holds Partners Conference; Launches New Products



Foremost pharmaceutical company SKG Pharma Limited will continue to create superior value in product development to meet the yearnings of the customers for effective quality products, Mr. Okey Akpa, Managing Director of the company has said.

He said this during the SKG’s Trade Partners Conference and Awards in Lagos last Thursday. According to Mr. Akpa, the conference is to appreciate the trade partners who have been adding value to the company by interfacing between SKG Pharma and the final consumer of the products.



The company also used the opportunity to launch some new products such as SKG Rexifen which is a 400mg Ibuprofen capsule product, SKG Galways 100mg vitamin C drops for newborns to 12 years plus, SKG Novadex Paracetamol 100mg BP drops for newborns to 11 months old babies with the advantage of being sugar free and SKG Novavite Multivitamin 15ml drops for newborns to 12 months old babies plus, this particular medicine helps fortify babies immune system against ailments and infections.



The event was attended by trade partners all over the country. There were regional and national awards to honour high performing trade partners. These awards were complimented with mouth-watering gifts.
The grand award winner, Jonaco Pharmacy based in Onitsha, through its Manager Chizoba Oleuku, thanked SKG Pharma for helping him grow his business. “SKG looks out for its distributors and makes sure they grow along with the company, no one is left behind and I intend to remain in the SKG family” Mr. Oleuku said as he lifted his golden trophy beaming with smile.



Second position went to Simba Pharmaceuticals represented by Mrs. Oby Ibeh Okpareke while the third position’s trophy was lifted by Mr. Chidi Akabougu of Eternity Concept.
Mr. Peter Bankole, Director of Enterprise development Centre, a pan-Atlantic University in Lagos, delivered a lecture on “Entrepreneurship” which generated many questions from the trade partners who wanted to learn more on growing their business.


The event was not all jaw jaw as a live band made sure everyone present showed their dance skills with more than enough to eat and drink in addition to goodie bags which ensure everybody left the venue with smiles on their faces.

PEPSI, VIVA CINEMA IGNITE IBADAN’S ENTERTAINMENT LANDSCAPE

Pepsi and Viva Entertainment, two big brands have come together to redefine the entertainment landscape of the ancient city of Ibadan as many night crawlers and socialites stormed the Palms Shopping Mall, site of the newest cinema in Ibadan.




 
The atmosphere was exquisite and alluring with music blasting from the high speakers at the lobby of the cinema.  It was the occasion to officially open the cinema to the public on Thursday April 16. From the premier university, the University of Ibadan, Lead City University, The Polytechnic Ibadan students with other town folks came in droves to be part of history as Ibadan is formally stewed in the urban pop culture of world class cinema and entertainment.

 



The surprise arrival of actress Iyabo Ojo and movie producer, Lancelot Imasuen helped to draw the sceptical crowd, as many did not believe the duo would show up as earlier hyped. On sighting the two, the full house became jam packed with kids and families.





Iyabo Ojo and Lancelot Imaseun premiered their award-winning films Silence and Invasion 1897 respectively in Ibadan, the excitement was palpable as they waited patiently for the cinema hall to fling open with a cone of pop corn and a can of Pepsi in hand.
Pepsi raised the decibel of the fun with ladies dancing competition in which rich goody bags were given away as prizes.



 
Excited Norden Thurston, Head of Marketing, Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, said Pepsi’s partnership with Viva Entertainment is aimed at encouraging relationships and bonding among friends and families and enthrone the culture of relaxation outside of the home.
Rian Erasmus, CEO of Persianas Retail owners of Viva Cinema was ecstatic at the huge attendance which he attributed to the partnership between his organisation and Pepsi, a brand already legendary in urban youth culture entertainment.
