Again, XLR8 is Public Relations Consultancy of the Year

For the second consecutive time, XLR8, one of West Africa’s leading Public Relations and Communications Management consultancies, has emerged as the "Public Relations Consultancy of the year, 2018." This was the verdict of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations at the 2018 edition of its annual Lagos Public Relations Industry Gala and Awards (LAPRIGA).
This award is following closely on a similar Presidential award by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations in 2017 that proclaimed XLR8 as public relations practitioner of excellence and the “Best corporate public relations consultancy of the year 2017.” That award was issued by the president and chairman-in-council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
Stating the criteria for the recent award, Mr. Olusegun McMedal, Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the NIPR, said "XLR8 won the award after a rigorous survey proved that XLR8 was ahead of its peers, on the basis of parameters ranging from creativity, employee relations, service delivery, relevance in the industry, processes and usage of technology for a variety of communication projects which deliver the desired outcomes for its clients”.
Mr Calixthus Okoruwa, Chief Executive Officer of XLR8, thanked the organizers for the recognition and dedicated the award to “our cherished clients” and his colleagues at XLR8. “We are extremely honoured to be receiving such an important award from no less an authority than the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.” He added that “While we are eminently grateful for the recognition which our work continues to earn our organization in respectable professional circles, we must thank our clients who repose so much trust and confidence in us and empower us with the wherewithal to do great work.” Okoruwa also expressed appreciation to his colleagues adding that “The award is also dedicated to my colleagues in XLR8 whose combination of ebullience, diligence and commitment to excellence would make any CEO proud.” The award, he assured, would help to spur XLR8 even further in its never-ending quest for excellence in every facet of its operations.

Since inception more than 14 years ago, XLR8 has consistently distinguished itself by the quality of its work. Consequently, it is a favourite destination of leading organizations including globally-renowned brands seeking excellent counsel and implementation expertise as to how best to profitably navigate the environment. Its clientele base cuts across technology and telecommunications, fast-moving consumer goods, banking and financial services sector, agriculture, the public sector and others.

If the Bible Says Israel Was Black, Then Who Are The White Jews in Israel?

This question has generated a lot of controversies globally ever since the United Nations chose to provide a home in 1948 for the Khazars and converts to the Jewish faith facing persecution all over Europe and America from Christians.
The Khazars and Ashkenaz are described as wanderers from Europe who have no hereditary home but roam across Europe fighting to stay survive as a people while the rest Caucasians currently in Europe were converted to the Jewish faith and exploited the ‘Right to Return’ policy of the Israeli State. These people have no ancestral lineage to Israel or Canaan and have never been there nor have their ancestors ever been to the promise land prior to the UN arrangement. The genealogical test proves that only 2 per cent of Israelis have any connection to Canaan and those 2 percents are majorly from the Palestine people.
Israel today is the only Caucasian country surrounded by Black and Arab nations. The Caucasian Israelis have been reputed for having the highest case of cancer in the world because the region is very hot and being Caucasian with melanin which black people possess naturally, they become open to the onslaught of the naked sun.

To Separate Israel from Africa Geographically, the West constructed an artificial barriers
The Suez Canal (Canals are artificial waterways built by man) is a sea-level waterway in Egypt, connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea through the Isthmus of Suez. Originally the idea of French diplomat Ferdinand De Lesseps, it was built so ships would avoid travelling through the Cape of Good Hop all around Africa.

Soon after the term "Middle East" was created in the 1850s in the British India Office. However, it became more widely known when American naval strategist Alfred Thayer Mahan used the term in 1902 to "designate the area between Arabia and India". Britain and France sat down and decided the fate of the Middle East which used to be referred to as Northern Africa.

Questions from the Bible the Caucasian Israelites have not been able to answer:
Question: Why did Moses pass for an Egyptian and lived in the palace when he was an Israeli Hebrew?
Answer: Because Israel and Egypt were both 100 per cent black nations up until 600 AD when the Arabs conquered a larger part of North Africa making the Blacks minorities after many converted to Islam and were not slaughtered. Many of the blacks were enslaved. All the Pharaohs in the Bible were also black as proven by archaeologists who have excavated and displayed the ancient mummified Pharaohs.
Question: Why did Samson have seven dreadlocks?
Answer: Because he was black as nature and science have proved that it is impossible for a Caucasian, Indian, Arab, or any other human to have dreadlocks aside from the Black man. Only a black person can have dreadlocks when his hair is left uncombed or uncared for. Dreadlocks are regarded as having spiritual powers in Africa and you don’t just barb a child with dreadlocks, you must do a sacrifice else he might die. Samson was from the tribe of Judah.
Judges 16:13 “And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he (Samson) said unto her If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.”
Question: Why did Joseph and Mary, parents of Jesus, run and hid in Egypt without detection?
Answer: Because the Romans, the Greeks and other Caucasians live up North and the only way they could survive and avoid detection was to be amongst their own kind.
Question: Why did Jacob run and hid in Egypt from his brother?
Answer: Because Caucasians would have killed him since the West was attacking downwards into Africa. Josh 24:4 “And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.”
Question: Why didn’t the King know Esther was a Jew?
Answer: Because they were all blacks Esther 8:1 “On that day did the king Ahasuerus give the house of Haman the Jews' enemy unto Esther the queen. And Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was unto her.”
Question: Why did Joseph’s family think he was an Egyptian instead of a Hebrew?
Answer: Because they all had the same complexion, the only difference was the tribe, Israel, Ethiopia, Egypt and other African countries lived on the same continent and had the same skin colour.

Identifying the Israelites according to the Bible Curses and prophecies
After the first slavery prophesized in Genesis 15:13 “Then the Lord said to Abram, "Know this for certain: Your offspring will be strangers in a land that does not belong to them; they will be enslaved and oppressed 400 years.” God had another pronouncement on his children.
49 Deuteronomy “The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;”
The voyage of Europe into Africa was a novelty as these strangers from a far foreign land with leprous skin invaded and stole from the Africans without provocation.
51 “And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep until he has destroyed thee.”

52 “And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee.”
Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:”
That was the first slavery which lasted 400 years and then God proclaimed yet another punishment for his children for another 400 years for disobedience to him.
Deuteronomy 28:68 “And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.”
This time God said it would be through ship that the children of God would be carried off to serve their new masters and through as always it came to pass as in 1619 the first slave ship landed in America and the children of God are expecting the total end of slavery to be 2019 which will be exactly 400 years as prophesied and will also signal a turn of events in the world as God forgives his children for their trespass. This is also expected to signal so many global occurrences both spiritual and physical.

No one shall buy you represent the slave trade market when nobody wanted to buy the Igbo slaves because they were always revolting and leading campaigns against their slave master and many of them committed suicide rather than be enslaved. All this are recorded in history if you seek for River Ebo (Igbo), a river which was named after the Igbo slaves that took over command of the ships that enslaved them but when they found themselves surrounded by the British and American armies they committed suicide by drowning. These and many other incidences made slavers refuse to buy Igbo slaves from the slave market.
African Hebrews were are the only ones who have been enslaved for 400 years all over the world they were scattered to work in different plantations while the Europeans claiming to be Jews owned slaves and participated economically in the Transatlantic Slave Trade
64 “And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.”

Africans were shipped to foreign lands that they did not understand the language spoken and had to learn English, Spanish, French, etc and were forced to accept Christianity by their Christian slave masters who told them not to fight back as it is against Gods wish. The invaders edited the scrolls they stole from Egypt, Ethiopia, Sudan, Israel and other African monasteries and made it look good to be slaves without fighting for freedom.
25 “The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.”
26 “And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.”
African colonisers and slave masters used dogs to chase and hunt down defeated tribes and runaway slaves. These dogs and trained wolfs tore to shred the bodies of African slaves as they ate their carcass. In Florida and some other places, babies of African slaves were used to hunt crocodiles by Caucasians whose hate for God’s chosen knew no bounds. The babies or sometimes children will be tied to a tree and the Caucasians will steer the water for the Crocodiles to emerge and eat the babies. While the beast is eating the child hey will attempt to catch it.

30 “Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.” African women both married and daughters were raped by the slave masters many times in front of the husband who is ordered to watch by his Caucasian master as he rapes the wife and daughters while the man is helpless and broken.
41 “Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.”
32 “Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.” During colonialism so many young African men were caught and drafted to fight in the Second World War without volunteering by their Caucasian colonisers while in America the family is divided with the son bought by one Caucasian family while the daughter goes to another Caucasian family, the wife of the man is sold to another home same as the man with all of them going to different cities and states.
36 “The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.”
37 “And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.”

Human zoos were set up by the Caucasians slavers for their families to come to watch black children and sometimes adult put in a cage for entertainment with banana and other fruits are thrown at the African children to eat.
43 “The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high, and thou shalt come down very low.”
Foreigners in Africa excel anytime they come to Africa while those still in captivity in America and other places struggle without success while the Chinese, Indians and other foreigners will come to America and excel.
44 “He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.” The Caucasians who claim to be Jews are known to be money lenders and excel in business. They run the American economy and even the global economy, they don’t know what the curse is about because they only converted to Judaism without having blood ties.
48 “Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck until he has destroyed thee.”
The slave master put chains on the neck, feet, hands and other places of African slaves.
54 ”So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:”

55 “So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.”
56 “The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,”
57 “And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.”
The black on black crime rate is consistently on the increase not just in America but even in the homeland Africa as family members now kill one another. Fathers kill the son, son kills the father, mother kills the daughter, daughter kills the mother, wife kills husbands and husband’s kills wife.
Caucasians claiming to be Jews are a fraud according to the scriptures and Jesus. After benefiting from slavery for 400 years they also want to steal the identity of the true Israelites.
In revelations 2:9 King James Version Jesus said “I know thy works and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.” in Luke 21:24 Jesus also said: “And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles (unbelievers) be fulfilled.”

Spin-Doctoring, a PR strategy demonized by quacks – CEO Brandfit

The labelling of Public Relations professionals as Spin-Doctors has been associated with the operations of quacks in the marketing communications practice. This was revealed over the weekend during the Edubrainics Africa Lecture delivered by the Senior Consultant of Brandfit PR & Events, Anthony Elikene ANIPR.
Edubrainics is an educational platform with a mission to spread education all over Africa. The organisation invites seasoned professionals to impart knowledge on African students by lecturing on specialized industries and disciplines. The lecture was transmission to a global audience generated engagement from students and young professionals from around the world who during the interactive session asked questions as it relates to their countries.
With the topic “Spin-Doctoring, a Prerequisite or Parasite to the PR Profession”, Elikene explained that Spin-Doctoring as a process is a strategic process not just in politics to turn around negative situations for brands and save them from demise. He blamed the negative perception of PR practitioners as Spin-Doctoring to the influx of nonprofessionals in Public Relations claiming many of them are bereft of strategic solutions leading them to replace facts with lies and deception.
According to Elikene, “The father of modern PR, Ivy Ledbetter Lee, made the distinction between PR and other related professions such as Advertising and Journalism, especially when everyone wanted to practice PR leading to wrong practice hence the phrase Spin-Doctors. Today we have many practitioners who are not professionals in PR and the negative connotation of Spin-Doctoring is back.” He said.
He further said: “The denotative meaning of Spin-Doctoring in the dictionary has no negativity attached to it because it is a process that enables professionals innovatively generate solutions using verifiable facts and information and your client benefits from the crisis rather than suffer from it.”
“Take for instance when there was a negative news about Indomie being poisonous, it took great Spin-Doctoring by professionals to turn things around and change the narrative by taking the CEO of the company to the mass-market where he ate uncooked Indomie straight from the pack. TV, print reporters, and photojournalists covered the event and ended the rumour died. The problem is when you apply this strategy to politics it is over sensationalized by vested interest and a lot of negativity and character assassination takes over.” Elikene concluded.
In a related situation the regulatory body overseeing the practice of Public Relations in the country, Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is also getting ready to start weeding out practising nonprofessionals.
Zimbabwean businessman and philanthropist - Dr Strive Masiyiwa commended the lecture and the Edubrainics Africa Team “This is an awesome venture! So proud of you guys. Well done." He said.

Natural Gas, Nigeria's Future of Energy Solution – Cummins Energy Solutions

Interview with Kamran Abbasi, Head of Aftermarket Service & Support at Cummins Energy Solutions Nigeria Ltd., the official Cummins gas product distributor in Nigeria

1. Tell us a little about yourself Kamran?

I started my career with Cummins in South Asia as an Engineer in 2001, rising up to Country Service Manger. I then joined Cummins West Africa in 2010 to develop the gas generator aftermarket business and provide technical support to customers operating on gas.

In 2012 I was part of the founding team of Cummins Energy Solutions Nigeria, the exclusive Cummins gas product distributor in country, to Head up Aftermarket, with the sole goal of establishing a world class service department.

2.     How long have you worked with Cummins – what do you enjoy most about your job?

I’ve worked with Cummins for over fifteen years today – it feels like home.

I’m passionate about new learning opportunities, technological inventions and making use of small things wherever possible – hence servicing generators is a perfect job!

Our team at Cummins is also very diverse – we have a good blend of Nigerians, South Africans, Asians, Filipinos, British and Italians, making the workplace an interesting environment.

Working with different nationalities, you also become versatile in understanding people’s approach and way of thinking – which is also a very important success factor.

3.     Why is aftermarket so important in Nigeria?

Aftermarket and service support is important in every country, and nearly every industrial product for that matter. Generators are complex machines that require specialist maintenance.

Conducting regular and preventive service of the generators not only ensures constant availability of power, but also yields the best asset life. We have 14 year old Cummins gas generators operating well in Nigeria due to good maintenance.

After sales support is particularly important in Nigeria because of counterfeit parts, inappropriate service standards and lack of proper diagnostic tools to maintain & service the genset. As an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), we receive much training from Cummins Inc. and follow the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practice.

4.     What are the main challenges you face in servicing gas generators in Nigeria?

Sometimes time accessibility at site can be an issue due to bad roads and heavy traffic, although by enlarge we don’t face too many problems. We have the largest gas after sales service team in country and good parts inventory so that we can quickly respond to issues. We are the official Cummins Africa gas product trainer and hold workshops at our Mushin warehouse.

5.     What distinguishes Cummins gas generators in the market?

Cummins gas engines are particularly suited to ‘island mode’ applications (off grid) as they can handle load spikes better than other generators. So in a market like Nigeria where most power is de-centralized, whereby homes and factories have their own power generating equipment, Cummins gensets are well suited to these types of applications. Here are the main benefits:

·         Trusty machines for island mode (off gird)
·         Load carrying capability
·         Quick recovery after heavy load spike
·         High electrical efficiency (up to 44%)
·         Long lasting (gas sets operating for over 14 years)
·         Low deration
·         Low methane numbers required for operation
·         Higher maintenance intervals

6.     How many gas generators have Cummins installed in Nigeria?

Cummins has the largest fleet of gas generators in Nigeria and was the pioneer in developing the gas to power market for industrial customers. There are over 200 Cummins gas generators installed across Nigeria, with over 260,000KW (i.e. 260 MW) generating capacity.

7.     In your opinion, which is the best Cummins gas generator in Nigeria?

QSK 60 (1160 KW) – it is the most installed gas generator in Nigeria (over 90 installations).

The QSK60 meets the two core criteria clients seek – reliability through continuous power availability and high efficiency, which reduces operational cost.

The QSV 91 (2000 KW) is also a great engine, particularly strong in heavy industrial applications such as steel and plastics.

8.     What type of services do you offer?

·         Gas Generators (40 KW to 2000 KW)
·         Technical & field service support
·         Annual Maintenance Contracts for servicing of generators
·         Life Cycle Operations and maintenance contracts
·         Installation & Commissioning services
·         Genuine spare parts
·         Training (overseas & local)
·         Warranty coverage
·         Energy saving initiatives for factories such as waste heat recovery systems
·         Compressed Natural Gas (via Powergas)

We also offer a fully outsourced power service (IPP) through sister organisation Cummins Power Generation Nigeria, whereby we invest in the power plant and supply electricity to large industries and residential estates.

9.     Which are the best performing sites that your team manages?

Our plant availability across sites that we fully manage averages over 99% for the full year – this is the best of any gas IPP in Nigeria.

A 14 MW power plant we service and operate in Lagos has been down for less than one minute since commissioned 3 years ago – it operates on fully synchronised Cummins gas and diesel generators.

10.What are the main benefits of operating on natural gas compared to diesel?

·         Continuous running machines –built for 24x7 power, not standby
·         Low operating cost – long service intervals
·         Low operating cost – price of natural gas is nearly one third of diesel
·         No fuel storage problem
·         No fuel pilferage
·         Environment friendly
·         Reduced emissions as compared to diesel engines

I strongly believe gas is the future for power generation in Nigeria – it is clean, cost effective, reliable and domestically sourced – hence boosts the local Nigerian economy.

11.Where is Cummins looking to invest to improve its service capability in Nigeria?

Cummins is regularly investing in Research & Development – in fact we invested over $735 Million in 2015 in R&D globally. This translates to improvements in generator performance, engine efficiency and durability – and hence even stronger service standards.

On a local Nigeria level, we have four key focus areas to improve service:

1.                             Continue to invest in training our operators and engineers on the ground.

2.                             Introduce remote monitoring technology at more sites – here we monitor plant performance remotely – enabling Cummins to identify any potential upcoming breakdowns as well areas for efficiency improvement. Big data is very powerful.

3.                             Expand our offering beyond the Generator room to energy saving initiatives within customer premises. For example, we pioneered waste heat recovery systems (combined heat and power) in Nigeria, whereby the waste heat from the engine is used to generate additional electricity or for internal process such as steam or cooling.

4.                             Develop an extensive service network across West Africa. Cummins has a good presence across Nigeria and we are now providing gas generators and service support in Benin Republic, Togo & Ghana.
